INTERACTIVE AUDIO SOUNDSCAPE

The soundscape was designed and implemented with Max 7 (Cycling '74) linked up with EXS24 samplers in Logic Pro X. The basic implementation involved creating 'note-out' messages within Max, specifying note number and velocity, that 'spoke' to samplers loaded with a range of environment or event sounds.
The journey I had decided upon involves the user moving through 'locations' as the alien invasion unfolds around them. The stages are: Indoors, Outdoors, Car interior, City street and Abduction. To progress through these stages the user presses an 'advance' button which triggers a 'transition' sound between two stages. |
